Though I was on the East Coast for what seemed like almost the entire month of August, I still managed to keep an ear tuned to the Seattle music Scene.
September will see one of the biggest album releases in Pacific Northwest hip hop/rap history: Common Market’s Tobacco Road.
Last week a free sneak-peak of Tobacco Road’s second publicly available single was released online. The song, entitled “Crucible,” features Geologic of the Blue Scholars and indicates the changes the duo has made since their 2005 self-titled debut. Common Market is continually developing lyrically and RA Scion’s maturing flow and wordplay is reinforced by Sabzi’s magical beats.
