Brother Ali is an MC from Minneapolis, Minn. and has made some significant noise in the underground rap scene. He’ll be performing at the annual Bumbershoot music festival over labor day weekend.
Response to his physical appearance (he’s albino) has caused some doubt about his skills, but when he raps he can go pound-for-pound with the best MC’s in the game today. One of his more notable lyrics says “They ask me if I’m black or white, I’m neither, race is a made up thing, I don’t believe in it.”
I definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t checked out Brother Ali do so ASAP.
